The DroneZone venue is Yarmouth Heliport, Caister-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, NR30 5TE which is directly off the A149, fed from the A47 – an excellent road network.
The Heliport is only a short journey from Great Yarmouth Station, which feeds into the national rail network via Norwich, making the principal airports within easy reach and London a comfortable travel time between locations.
A mini-bus shuttle service will operate between Great Yarmouth Station and DroneZone every thirty minutes as a rotation, with the journey-time being just 5 minutes on a normal day.
There is a regular bus service (No. 8) that operates between Great Yarmouth and Caister-on-Sea which passes our door.
The favourite local taxi companies are Albies Cabs, and Swift.
There is ample capacity on site for parking, and using What3Words (W3W) our site entrance can be found at ///oiled.wooden.holly with all the facilities on site that you would expect of an aviation centre.
The event has adequate parking on site and in and around the area, but under no circumstance should anyone park on the road-side of the A149, as any parking form of parking-abuse will attract an immediate attention of law enforcement and the vehicle removed coupled with a heavy fine when you retrieve the vehicle from the compound – politely, you have been warned.
Great Yarmouth and Caister-on-Sea are blessed with an array of choice for accommodation, from hotels, B&B’s and private dwellings served by AirBnB for the self-sufficient, and a list of options can be found below.
The evening economy has an enormous choice of restaurants (we always suggest you book), bars, clubs, live music and a water-front casino to keep you entertained during your stay on the delightful East Coast.
